Perigi, perigi, perigi... this blog looks a little different now, no? Just decided to do a quick makeover since i got bored of the old one, and i am, for once, trying to make this blog's interface more user friendly. Visitors now may leave comments, yay! Will be updating this baby soon. Perhaps i don't really want to delete it, after all... It's just that i get sick of things easily, and the things i say now will probably seem stupid to me in 4 months' time. What does that say about me?

A Holy Birthday
Wow, i'm so late here. This gon' be a blog post of short stories because there has been so much happening in my life and no, i am NOT going to talk about my New Year's resolutions. Don't even know how long my desk can stay clean after tidying things up two days ago...
First of all - RMMU 13th Carnival Night (21st Dec 2011)
The trailer for the event. We haz an awesome technical department.
Happy belated birthday, Radio MMU! The night was a blast, everyone worked hard, played hard and had fun. Creative team for the win, even though some of the letters and DJ Kid himself on the backdrop fell! Honestly, i love our committee members. :-)
Secondly, *drumrolls* my birthday! (23rd Dec 2011)
Thanks so much to my darlin' sister family for celebrating for me. We went to Puchong's Neway and boy, it makes Red Box look so bad! Free flow drinks are the best. Anyways, since it was so close to Christmas already, we organized Secret Santa among ourselves as well.
Thanks, Zhuo Jun! n_n
And then there was nice cake (sort of a surprise because ya know, they always paused whatever was playing on screen and changed it to a birthday song, then they bring in the cake) AND THEN, the most delightful surprise of all! I was at the front of the room, some of them were surrounding the back. I squeezed past them to get to the sofa and guess what i saw~
Box full of Rilakkuma merchandise i shat brix
Picture taken in my room, includes Polaroid pics of me and also the Secret Santa gifts, but srsly omg. So basically what happened when i saw the box (blue Rilakkuma one) sittin' there, i went,
Oh my, whose is this?! Why do they have it?! Why is it here? IS IT MINE OMG IT'S MINE *open box* OMGGG YOU GUYSSS HELP ME I CAN'T BREATHE LOOK AT ALL THESE THINGS I AM SO HAPPY YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW *start crying* THIS IS ALL I EVER WANTED AND MORE I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH *take pics and still trying to sing Demi Lovato's Skyscraper because it was on*
I'm so grateful for having thoughtful friends who took the time to pick out the gifts from different stores. Some of the things i've never seen before, don't know how they got it. Just... ♥♥♥
Moving along, Christmas Eve dinner at Dajie's (24th Dec 2011)
Family time~ This really is, for us, the first of its kind! We had chicken, pizza and sparkling wine (not the French kind /okay) Let the pictures do the talking...
Specially decorated weeks beforehand.
Owner of household

Conclusion: Best birthday ever. Thanks to all. :-)
Priorities
If i have the time to stalk people on Facebook, i should be able to do the laundry.
If i can blog about random stuffs on all of my blogs frequently, i should also be able to update my coursework blogs.
If i can browse Tumblr till late nights, i should be able to wake up early the next day to go jogging.
If i spend hours doing my nails, i should also spend hours doing work.
If i can complain about a lot of things, i can also do my chores.

This should have been a moderately positive post,
but then i got robbed.
Rewinding back to the beginning...
The students from my major had a 3D2N field trip to Kuala Selangor Nature Park, from Friday till Sunday. Let me clarify this: as much as i looove Mother Nature, there is just some things i cannot accept about being stranded in the middle of a mangrove-forest-swampy-whatever-names-Geography-barely-taught-me, with all the leeches and the snails, mudskippers and - UGH - moths. So, after much complaints from a number of the students on Facebook, we left "early" morning by bus. (The new buses in Cyberjaya, the blue colour ones? They stink. Literally.)
Upon reaching the nature park, we were greeted by the disheartening sight of an ancient, godforsaken wetland conservation centre, infested by an unhealthy amount of monkeys. (Don't judge, there really were too many of them.) The hostel rooms (girls and boys separated) are shabby and smell like my grandfather's old house. The bathrooms which all the rooms share are dirty and lack proper amenities, considering the rate of one room of 7 pax goes as high as RM175 per night. These are completely unbiased statements, mind you.
As if all that wasn't enough, the weather sucked golden balls the very night we went to Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park. It was raining and the tide was rather high, making the boat a very unsettling place to be on. Thankfully, the drizzle didn't dampen our spirits as we witness the beautiful, synchronized blinking of lights from tiny little fireflies, a sight i will never forget.
Second day's itinerary had "nature activity" on the top of the list. Simply speaking, we had a long stroll in the mangrove walkway and various trails in the park. Saw some birds and bees, icky icky stuff etc. It was a warm morning, but the ground managed to stay damp and muddy. After that, the groups had a nature hunt with "treasures" involved. We were given a list of items to find in the entire nature park, namely: something black and white, something dead, a skeleton, something red etc. We also had to perform a song about nature which was lame but they seemed to enjoy watching us.
Dinner time; my group held last place. Thinking that we are all tired from the activities from dawn to dusk, the leaders of this trip announced that the group performance is cancelled. Instead, we were given the option of going out around town together. My friends and i decided that staying in our room wouldn't do us any good either, might as well go out and have a drink. Off we went to a cafe in town, about a kilometre from the nature park's entrance (it's a straight route), near a bus stop.
We left the cafe at about 10.20 pm, walking together but rather carelessly on the road. It was probably because we were having too much fun that we became so negligent of our surroundings. In the middle of the way back (when we were neither near the nature park or the shops), a motorcycle with two Indian men on it stopped beside us. After that, everything was a blur. One of the men stepped down and grabbed my friend's wrist and the another's backpack; the first escaped but the second got caught from behind. We were told not to run or they will beat us with a long, heavy metal chain with a padlock at the end of it. The rattling of the chains was enough to render my friends motionless; no one knew what to do. At first, some tried to throw away their belongings and run, but was stopped by the guy on the motorcycle who said (and i quote) "... lari, saya potong kamu! Saya akan potong kamu!"
The thief, with about the same height as me (if he wasn't wearing aviators, i'd be staring right into his eyes, furnacing his putrid soul with my glare of death), started getting worried when they seemed to have taken too much time robbing us. A car passing by might have saved us, but the street was deserted. No one shouted, no one ran away, no one fought back. He hurried back to the motorcycle waiting at the side of the road and rode off, waving goodbye at us and giving a vehemently disgusting flying kiss. For a second, we were all stunned and didn't know what to do. One of us yelled that we should be running, and run we did, back to the nature park.
The rest, i didn't remember much, but talking about it with my friends over and over again helped. Later that night when everyone calmed down, we started discussing and joking about it. According to one friend, when the snatch thief approached her, i shouted something along the lines of, "Oi, JANGAN! Jangan sentuh! You nak ape kami sudah bagi! Semua barang you dah amik, takde lagi!" And then he charged at me (before this he already snatched away my phone in a short and sweet game of tug of war), flapping my other hand to see what i was holding, telling me to hand it to him. It was a obviously bottle of water, but he kept pulling my hand, asking what it was and i got impatient. "Botol! Ni botol saje you pun nak?!"
There were several more aggravating incidents but let's focus on the police station instead, shall we? Polis Diraja Malaysia, a formal body representing (supposedly) efficiency and dependability, sworn to serve the country and the people with all their might? I saw none of that in their Kuala Selangor branch. Government workers sat at the counter wagging their tuber limbs and casting a disdainful look upon us, police officers strolling in and out in their little blue uniforms while asking random questions, stray cats strutting around the room like they owned the place, half-arsed typing and documentation of police reports... Our case is merely a number to them. It will be extremely useful when they are required to provide statistical information of criminal cases for Pendidikan Moral textbooks, but that is all. They did put up a show for the people though - a road block was conducted a while after, but they were done from the very beginning. They did not intend to be serious about such shrimp cases. Nothing they did helped make their place safer. It is almost impossible to rely on them. They are worse than government hospitals.
There is so much more i can complain about, but now, please allow me ten seconds of purposeful, stress-relieving cursing of the two snatch thieves' lives.
You arrogant scums of the country. Not only are you a disgrace to yourself - least of anybody's care - and your family, you are shaming your own race and culture. You are born with a healthy body, but you turned your soul into a decaying matter by taking pride in doing terrible and wrong deeds. You are far worse than dirty; even the most toxic of wastelands would reject you, a repulsive, stinking, unwanted pile of cow dung. You think you can get away, but trust me, no one runs away from karma. One fateful day, you will have every misfortune possible happening to you. I regret not kicking you in the nuts and squashing your puny little manhood (i don't know, but he is kinda short) and end your generation. May you never be able to lift your... head high among your friends. May you be blessed with a string of STDs, malaria and/or untreatable cancer. If your parents are the sucky kind, i hope they lose all their lives' savings to a gambling addiction they will have or already have had.
This is the vengeance in me speaking, but i mean it. I was so bloody pissed, and still am now. I am angry at criminals who commit crime without a reasonable purpose or morale and virtues. They snatch, not because they are in need of money to treat someone's sickness. They snatch to earn pocket money sufficient to satisfy their late night, illegal gambling needs. They target the small, the weak, the shy. They fear people of physical power, death, and nothing else. Call me irrational, but that is when i speak most of the truth.
Finally, i'd like you all to know that you have a better chance at getting robbed in the streets multiple times than winning the lottery once. Crimes like this happen all the time, every minute of every day. Do not ever think that you won't be so unlucky simply because you're not me or my friends. We are all the same. Always be wary of everything around you. Nobody knows what can happen out of these things. Losing your life isn't as difficult as it seems.
(Been doing a lot of criticising in this post. I mean no harm or disrespect, but i speak the truth for the people who deserve to know. I am not playing the blame game either. It was no one but the thieves' fault.)
I ♥ TVB
(dramatic fainting and cry) I have once again succumbed to the inconceivable tantalization of Chinese television's no.1 guilty pleasure that is TVB!
A day before my return to my hometown, i was assigned the hefty task of helping my mum download TV shows because my old folks at home decided to unsubscribe from Astro's Dynasty package, leaving my mum to fend for herself whenever TV boredom strikes (which is, basically, every day). A simple gesture of downloading did not require much of my interest, so i thoughtlessly chose some of the latest TVB series with complete episodes, but with no intention to watch it myself because i was "so over that period of couch-potatohood". But no! Small town, less-than-average-speed broadband insisted that i switch off the router and start watching "Lives Of Omission" instead.

Cast members 100% approved.
Lives Of Omission, aka "潛行狙擊", is the direct sequel of the 2009 film, "Turning Point" (also a spin-off to a popular TVB drama series, "E.U."), and exists because Laughing Gor is in high demand. I myself am quite a fan of Michael Tse's much-lauded performance as the triad member undercover everybody loves, a factor which lessened my guilt for relapsing. Also, not to mention Fala Chen as a new character! ❤‿❤
While i am at it now, i might as well tell you all about how much i adore Fala Chen.

I swear, i wasn't trying to copy this look. She totes does it better.
I liked her since i first saw her in "Steps", and she was the antagonist! She has this inexplicable charm (could have something to do with her winning smile?) and no matter what role she's playing, i like her just as much, if not, more. People who disliked her in the beginning for her role as Karmen had a change of heart when they saw her in series like "Moonlight Resonance" (ultimate fav, judge me for all i care!!!). Out of curiosity (netizen with much time on hands, what do you expect me to do), i googled "Fala Chen scandal" and there were some search results. Turns out, they were all rumours about nude photos circulating online and probably spam sites. Damn you, black hat SEO. But if she were to be involved in any typical celebrity scandal, i will still give her my unwavering support because she really is a good actress, after all. n_n
Now, you must be wondering why i am so belligerently against TVB. I'm just gonna say it outright - TVB is blatantly over-produced and lacks quality control. Recycled storylines (doctors/surgeons, police/army/air force/navy, firefighters, lawyers, triads, chefs? Oh, and those set in ancient China), Mary Sue/stereotype characters, poorly-written scripts, low-budget sets and props, unrealistic visual and/or sound effects, unmemorable opening and ending themes... i'm sure i missed a thing or two there.

But hey, it sells. Viewers continue to support these TV series, taking sides on which group of actors and actresses are better. If you are outside of this TVB circle, you have to understand that they will never get tired of it.
Ok, ok. I am not deprecating TVB to bring down its name. Criticism comes along with compliments. I can totally put in a few good words for TVB because no matter what, i still love it; TVB is home. I love the familiar faces, the long line of talented actors and actresses (veteran AND newbies, as long as they're good), the storytelling that never gets old, the happy endings... I am such a sucker for cheesy epilogues. TVB's improving, though. New generation variety shows, comedy talk shows, modern day sitcoms fit into the big picture. It might seem a little strange at first, but heck, i'm lovin' it.
*Update* Just finished watching LO. More than enough tears were shed on the final episode. People, you have to watch this one!
One hurdle down, hundreds more to go?
Beta year, first trimester = OVER.
It's great to be back home! Aside from high speed internet and a closer distance to better shopping destinations, there really isn't much to like about, being in Cyberjaya. Now that i'm fully charged with energy and satisfaction from great food, i'm actually looking forward to starting work. Between keeping up with my studies and personal life, as well as handling DJ Club duties, i haven't got much time to waste next trimester. Ugh, enough with the pep talk. Check out what subjects i'm taking for Trimester II!

I changed my elective subject from Sculpture to M'sian Contemporary Art a few days after registering subjects because i figured i'd be doomed taking that subject; these hands were never made for bending wires. I'd be way happier admiring sculptures from afar in exhibitions and galleries. ^___^ <--- lazy person talking
Fast forwarding to my life as a totally average adolescent, my life hasn't been as happenin' as i hoped it to be, so keeping this blog freshly updated is one hell of a job. However, i have been taking interest in recommending songs and albums to people who might care as my brother has proven to so highly approve of my taste in music (i left out the electro, crunkcore, pop punk stuffs, just in case). Therefore, DJ Kellie presents to you...
KATY PERRY!!!!111!!1! lolno.
"Paradise" - Slow Club
I was never and still am not a great listener of folk music even though i enjoy it quite a lot, so finding good albums that suit my taste is a rather difficult task. This 11-track album is surprisingly refreshing and thrilling but at the same time, subtle, even for the rhythmic, striking songs. How lucky of me to stumble upon this little indie gem - it completes my playlist for the month.
Standout tracks: "Paradise" (hidden track), "Two Cousins", "Hackney Marsh"
Just stopping by!
*commence ritual to revive blog*
But no, i'm not here for long! Just to apologize for MIAing for months after promising a movie review. I never got around to that and i don't think i should. Submissions are over now, which means finals are starting. As a matter of fact, my first paper's tomorrow afternoon.
To celebrate this highly important occasion, i've deactivated my Facebook and Twitter because there's no better excuse than exams to avoid people i generally disfavour.
Anything interesting in my life happening? Well, there's this new-found obsession i have for Rilakkuma (which was never mentioned here, oddly) and the colour green (just because i got sorted into Slytherin in Pottermore).
Right before it changes to Gryffindor in the Year-End Feast.
Been waiting for new seasons of How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory. Also, i'm rewatching Gensomaden Saiyuki because of a friend's mention. They never cease to entertain me. What else, what else...
I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night (a time during which i should have been studying) and i am absolutely in love with it. It's a romance fantasy film starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet (amazing, no?) and i must say, this film is way too underrated for its own good!
"A couple undergo a procedure to erase each other from their memories when their relationship turns sour, but it is only through the process of loss that they discover what they had to begin with."
The story is beautiful and tragic, poignant and thought-stimulating with a couple of twists here and there, but not in a M. Night Shyamalan way. Towards the end, i was tearing up like a sad, lonely girl, wanting somebody to love. To put it simply - The Notebook meets Inception, but minus the sappy storyline and snazzy CGI effects. It won a well-deserved Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
Can't talk much now, really. Wish me luck for Internet Application tomorrow!

HARRY FREAKIN' POTTER and some other stuffs
IT'S COMING I CANNOT EVEN DESCRIBE MY FEELINGS RIGHT NOW THIS WEDNESDAY OMG HELP ME I THINK I FORGOT HOW TO BREATHE-
You can say that i have been as jittery as this ever since the HPDH2 premiere in Trafalgar Square, London. It was a mistake watching it on a school night (lol) but i regret nothing. Good news is, i finally get to watch it this Wednesday! Unfortunately, it won't be the first screening as i am only able to catch the 11.45 pm one together with DJ Club English Slot mates. Ugh, nowadays i use the word 'mates'. No matter what, i still feel darn lucky for being in one of the countries to have HPDH2 released so soon in it. Sux 2 b american.
Now, to account for the brief MIAing from the blogosphere once again, i have been busy with course assignments these couple of weeks and also an endless line of events for DJ Club (if you're the president, no i am not complaining). But i suppose i can also blame it on my recent newfound obsession with the Big Bang Theory. Not literally, but the television series my friends have been badgering me to watch for quite some time. I never began the strenuous expedition thanks to my indistinct OCD traits that prevent me from being able to fully enjoy a series of items if it doesn't begin from 1 (or 0 in this case, for the pilot episode). But then Er Jie started watching it and even encouraged me to do so. It was then i realized how far behind i actually am (sorry Er Jie but it's true lol) so in the end, i started with the second episode... and the rest was history. Started watching on Friday and i'm already into the fourth season now. It's a BBT marathon weekend, baby! What am i gonna do after i finish all the episodes? Well, there's always an option of continuing actual work as any university student should, but then again, there's How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Who, The Office... And i suppose after i'm done with all of that, Glee's resuming with season 3 and lawd, i can never catch a breather.
Perhaps i should focus on my health a little more. It's already 5 a.m. in the morning and i have class at 10. What exactly am i doing, i don't even know.
Blogging Loser No. 1
That's me! I'm the worst at keeping up with people online. No matter what, i finally manage to upload photos of my trip to Malacca on Facebook.
